The Green Sprouter is a cost-effective and convenient way to grow wheatgrass as well as sprout nuts and seeds at home, giving you ready access to nutrient-rich super foods. In just 10 days you’ll be able to harvest your sprouts and leafy greens and enjoy healthier salads, juices and smoothies!
Why use a sprouter
Wheatgrass, barley grass and sprouted nuts and seeds are dense in easily digestible nutrients essential to our well-being - however ready access to fresh grasses and sprouts can be expensive and inconvenient. The Manual Sprouter enables you to grow your own - the whole process is quick and inexpensive, and will ensure a handy supply of super foods when you need them.
How the Manual Sprouter works
The Manual Sprouter comes with detailed step-by-step instructions - the germinating process takes 10 days and includes soaking the seeds in preparation for sprouting, repeated watering, immersion watering and finally harvest.
Seeds are placed directly in soil or on the seedling flats (the seedling flats are perforated to support the seeds for soil-free growing). Growing seeds should be covered for the first 1 to 3 days of growth with the black germinating lids. The clear greenhouse covers will provide the seeds the warmth and humidity they need to germinate successfully.
The Green Manual Sprouter can be used to produce:
- Barley grass
- Alfalfa sprouts
- Bean sprouts
- Mung bean sprouts
- Pea sprouts
- Chickpea sprouts
- Lentil sprouts
- Quinoa sprouts
- Radish sprouts
The Manual Sprouter stacks upwards to keep a small footprint in your kitchen - it’s the perfect companion to help you maintain a raw living food diet!
500 gr of wheatgrass yields around 350 mL of wheatgrass juice - to make the most out of your harvest we recommend choosing a cold-press juicerthat can specifically juice wheatgrass, or using a manual stainless steel juicerif you only require small amounts of wheatgrass juice extracted at a time.
