Assists you in managing calcium deficiency. Blackmores Total Calcium Magnesium Plus D3 is especially formulated to help with the management of calcium levels. It may help prevent and/or treat osteoporosis.

Calcium's major function in the body is building and maintaining healthy bones and teeth. Calcium is the body's most abundant mineral, with close to 99% of the body's calcium existing in the bones. Calcium is also involved in metabolic reactions such as nerve transmission, muscle contractions and regulating the function of the heart muscle. Both calcium and magnesium are essential for healthy bones, as well as healthy muscle and nerve functions. Blackmores Total Calcium Magnesium Plus D3 contains the desired ratio of 2:1 for levels of calcium and magnesium. Total Calcium Magnesium Plus D3 also contains Vitamin D, essential for the absorption and utilisation of calcium. Low levels and vitamin D deficiency also result in lack of bone strength and density as well as joint pain. Vitamin K1 and minerals also help the body absorb calcium and magnesium, boosting their action.

Adults – Take 1 tablet 1 to 3 times a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Children 9-12 years – Take 1 tablet 1 to 2 times a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Children 6-8 years – Take 1 tablet a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed. Children under 6 years – Only as professionally prescribed.

  • Blackmores Total Calcium Magnesium Plus D3 may interfere with certain other medications you may be taking - calcium, zinc and magnesium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. If taking tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs) or thyroid hormone, separate doses by at least two hours.
  • Calcium may decrease the activity of verapamil. Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking verapamil.

  • Vitamin D3 may cause hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels) if taken with thiazide diuretics.
