Assists in supporting healthy connective tissue. Blackmores Silica Compound promotes healthy connective tissue including cartilage, tendons, bones, nails and skin.

The mineral silica is essential for the synthesis and health of connective tissue and is primarily found in cartilage, ligaments, the epidermis of the skin, nails and hair.

Silica also assists calcium absorption. It acts as a cross linking agent, forming bridges between adjacent polysaccharide chains, which aids the stability as well as rigidity of connective tissue. Silica supports collagen formation and skin's elasticity.
