Our Nigari Magnesium Chloride Bath Oil is produced by a small, family-owned company based on Ishigaki Island in the Okinawa prefecture of southern Japan.  The seawater in this area is rich in minerals from the numerous coral reefs scattered along the coast. The ultra-pure seawater used to produce the 'Nigari' is actually collected from coastal inlets that border these reefs.
