Health and Beauty in a Natural Way

Echolife's Magnesium Chloride products

The Pacific Ocean

We cannot live without adequate amounts of magnesium in our bodies. It is a co-factor in over 300 enzymatic reactions on the human body ... cell health, healthy growth of new cells and cell division are all dependant on the availability of magnesium. This vital mineral also maintains normal nerve and muscle function, including healthy functioning of the heart muscle. Transdermal application of magnesium (achieved with an oil or gel application, or a bath) is beneficial to those who cannot tolerate or absorb this mineral when taken orally.

Many medical doctors, including Dr. Carolyn Dean (author of 'The Magnesium Miracle'), Dr. Mildreg Seelig and Dr. Norman Shealy (author of 'Holy Water, Sacred Oil') discovered in their research that by using magnesium chloride 'oil' externally directly onto the skin, this vital mineral was well absorbed by the human body.

What role does magnesium play in the human body?

  • Magnesium helps relax and maintain normal muscle activity
  • It is the 'anti-stress' and anti-aging mineral
  • Magnesium helps the body transmit healthy nerve signals
  • Magnesium is a strong infection fighter and has antimicrobial properties
  • Normal levels of magnesium prevent calcification of organs and tissues that is often characteristic of arthritis in old-age
  • Magnesium is vital for athletes or those who exercise regularly as this mineral is lost through sweat.
  • It can reduce fatigue and stress from strenuous exercise and enhance more rapid post-exercise recovery.
  • A healthy immune system: white blood cells require good magnesium levels

Our Magnesium Chloride products ...

Australian Magnesium Chloride Oil

About the developer ...

Our all-Australian magnesium chloride oil was researched and produced over a period of many years by an award winning Australian environmental scientist whose main passion is the innovative management of energy, water and soils. This has enabled him to produce and manufacture our Magnesium Chloride Oil in collaboration with an organic chemist.

He has extensive experience in environmental assessment, including the areas of ecology, hydrology, climate, soils, vegetation and fauna, microbial balancing of soil and water. . He has received a number of awards and honours for research and development and innovation for environmental information technologies, particularly in the application of geophysical data for mapping earth resources.

About our Australian Magnesium Chloride Oil

This 'oil' (not actually an oil, but has an oily feel) starts off as deep-sea water taken from the beautiful and pristine Pacific Ocean, some 20 - 40kms off the coast of central and north-eastern Australia.

Produced from naturally occuring ingredients, this magnesium oil is hand-made and tested for purity in our developer's own laboratory. It is hand harvested, not machine produced.

What the developer says about Australian Magnesium Oil ...

  •  It is produced from naturally occurring ingredients derived from sea water.
  • The magnesium oil contains 28% deep unpolluted seawater.
  • Contains pure concentrated Australian sea minerals.
  • Contains 72% magnesium chloride and a variety of other vital trace minerals including calcium, potassium, manganese and iodine.
  • The concentrated ionic minerals and trace elements are available in colloidal form.

Nigari Magnesium Chloride Oil

This oil is sourced from the deep crystal-clear water off the coast of Okinawa Island. The seawater in this area is rich in minerals from the coral reef and is pumped from next to the designated wetland area which is protected under the Ramsar Convention, an International Treaty for the conversion and substainable utilisation of wetlands.

Nigari Magnesium Chloride oil is manufactured by a small and respected company in Japan and is 100% pure and all-natural. Contains approximately 43% magnesium chloride.

How to use Magnesium Oil

The most effective and cheapest way to use this product is to apply directly to the skin. Massage approximately 2 teaspoons (10ml) of Magnesium Oil to any part of the body particularly the torso. Leave on for at least 20-30 minutes and then shower off. This product can also be added to your bath (2 - 3 tablespoons) along with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Magnesium Bath Flakes

Please note .... you may feel a 'stinging' sensation when first applying Magnesium Oil. This is normal and generally subsides, however if you feel uncomfortable, leave the oil on for a long as possible and then shower or wash off. If you have sensitive skin, dilute magnesium oil with a little water before applying to the body.

Nigari Magnesium Chloride Flakes

Nigari, meaning 'Bittern'  is a concentrated solution of various minerals remaining after the crystalisation of salt from seawater. The main ingredient should be magnesium chloride.

Our Nigari Magnesium Chloride Flakes begin their life in a naturally occurring and unpolluted Nigari Lake, 3500 metres high in the mountains on the border of China and Tibet. Because of the complex underground holes and water in the area, over time this inland sea has formed a crystalised salt lake, becoming what is called a 'Nigari' Lake.

The crystalised Nigari is transported to Japan where these salt crystals are mixed with pure, unpolluted seawater from the Seto Inland Sea. This mixture is then concentrated and filtered several times, producing Nigari flakes.

Magnesium chloride content of our Nigari Flakes

Our flakes contain approximately 95% magnesium chloride. Through the manufacturing process, magnesium is separated from other minerals. This results in the higher concentration of magnesium chloride. Some Nigari products contain large amounts of sodium chloride, however the company we source our flakes from uses the ion dialysis method which removes most of the sodium resulting in the higher concentration of magnesium chloride.

Do Nigari flakes contain heavy metals?

The company we source our Nigari flakes from in Japan uses an ion exchange dialysis method - there is no other process in the world able to deal with and remove dioxins or heavy metals like this method. In the ion exchange filters there are extremely fine pores (1/100th of a millimeter small), which allows magnesium, calcium and potassium to pass through but not larger molecules such as heavy metals - mercury, arsenic etc. The result is a Nigari product that is completely free of these toxic heavy metals.

How to use Nigari Magnesium Chloride Flakes

Add half to one cup of magnesium flakes to your bath (you may add less or more as required) once or twice a week and spray a solution of Magnesium Chloride Oil on the entire body daily.
